Travel Assistance to Russet House School
Travel Assistance for pupils to and from school is arranged by the Local Authority (LA) and not by the school.
Travel Assistance can be in different forms including:
- Personal Travel Budget (such as a petrol allowance for parents using their own cars to bring their children to and from school or money towards a taxi allowance)
- a place on a school bus or taxi (Please note: this is increasingly rare)
- a travel pass for a parent to travel with a child
To make an application for travel assistance for their child, parents need to complete an application form and send it to the Transport Department via email to travel.assistance@enfield.gov.uk or by post to SEND Travel Brokerage, Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, EN1 3XY.
The parent/s will then be contacted by a Travel Broker who will discuss the application with them.

When a child/young person who is already in receipt of travel assistance moves school (primary to secondary or a change of school before they get to secondary school age), parents/carers will need to submit a new application for travel assistance.
